All linen and hemp clothes are washed at 95 degrees after sewing, so that they are pleasantly soft and do not shrink later.
The clothes are sewn individually under fair working conditions (no series production). Then the finished parts are piece-dyed. The advantage is that shrinkage is impossible and the appearance does not change after washing.
One exception, however, is the hemp silk in its natural color - it shrinks a little when washed.
There is no chemical “refinement”.
We use pure hemp 450-580 g / sqm for pants, jackets, coats and vests.
Like linen, hemp is skin-friendly and breathable. The fiber can absorb a lot of moisture, which means it is pleasantly cool in summer. In addition, the fiber was woven very tightly. Thus, our hemp is not only extremely robust and dimensionally stable, but also pleasantly warm in cold temperatures. Our hemp is much thicker and stronger compared to linen. The things have more stance and grip. The hemp is long fiber and is wet spun, which makes it very durable. The coarse structure also has a special charm. The special thing about hemp is its liveliness. The material stretches a little when worn. This means that your clothes will adapt well to your figure, stretch a little in width and give way a little in length.
We use pure linen 170g / sqm for blouses, wide shirts, light skirts and the like, linen 200g / sqm for trousers, dresses and jackets and 450-580g heavy linen for trousers, jackets and coats.
Linen is kind to the skin, breathable and antibacterial - it doesn't smell, even if it's sweaty. The special feature is the cooling property, which is very pleasant in summer. However, our strong, robust linen is also warm in winter. The material stretches a little when worn. This means that your clothes will adapt well to your figure, stretch a little in width and give way a little in length.
New items made of linen, especially when they are dyed, should therefore generally fit well or even be bought a little tight - they will be a little wider and longer when worn.
The linen and hemp fabrics are pre-washed at 95 degrees so that they become softer.
The advantage: there is no shrinkage and the appearance does not change after washing.
For our heavy winter clothing and light wool clothes, we use pure milled new wool, also known as loden, as it has been worn for generations in the alpine regions in wind and weather. The loden is manufactured in a long-established family business in southern Germany.
Due to the elaborate processing of the new wool, the fulling, the loden is not only more resistant and warming, but also extremely water-repellent.
Due to the fabric structure of the loden there is a regular and controlled heat balance. Loden does not let the cold through, retains body heat and thus guarantees exceptional comfort. Virgin wool is extremely breathable, ie it takes water vapor from the body and releases it to the surface of the fabric. Loden is also windproof. Because the loden is processed without chemical additives, its windbreaking properties are retained. “Wool cleans itself” thanks to the natural wool fat it contains - wool lanolin. Airing outdoors and brushing out when dry is generally sufficient. If necessary, the wool can be cleaned.
a fantastically soft and warm pure wool - also a loden - made from the finest wool fibers of the sheep.
We use them to make wonderfully light jackets, vests, skirts and scarves.
There are different colors with the back being a different shade.
You shouldn't wash this fabric. But it is also particularly insensitive to dirt. Airing out, brushing with a soft brush or dabbing is all it takes.
Dry cleaning is possible but not recommended.
For dresses, blouses, some skirts and trousers as well as men's shirts, we use hemp silk in 160 g / sqm.
In the case of hemp silk, the elegantly shimmering silk (30%) combines with hemp (70%) to form a beautifully falling, non-slip fabric with an exceptionally beautiful sheen. The hemp yarn gives the surface a fine, invigorating structure and is comfortable on the skin.
Hemp silk in natural color still shrinks a little when washed. When worn, the hemp silk will no longer expand compared to linen, but will keep its shape.
The hemp silk should be handled carefully. Gentle washing with mild detergent in the silk program and only a light spinning will maintain the wonderful shine.
The buttons are either made of nickel-free metal (as are the zippers),
made from renewable raw materials such as coconut or stone nut or fabric-based.
The yarns are specially made pure cotton yarns.
